==> login to your dashboard and choose the blog you wish to change templates on
==> click on template from the dashboard and scroll up, you will see backup and restore option at the upper right corner of the page, click on it
==> a pop up will open, click on browse and search for the xml file on your computer and click on upload and save.that's all.
you have successfully done it.don't forget to always download backup of your formal template before making any changes.
NOTE: the template must be in xml file, i.e if if the xml file is in a zip, you need to first extract it before uploading else it won't work.ENJOY.
