i have been using gtmobile on my mobile phone to check my account balance and make payment transactions.gtmobile is mobile application that can enable you to monitor your guarantee trust bank (gtbank) account balance.you can even use it to buy airtime of most Nigerian network operator like GLO, MTN, ETISALAT, AIRTEL etc, pay subscription bills like DSTV,HITV,HITV, and also utility bills like PHCN on your phone without necessarily going to the bank.cool hun.some people were asking me how to activate gtmobile after downloading it.the activation process is not difficult.anyway, today i am going to share with you on how to activate gtmobile.
after activating gtmobile, you can be able to check account balance and also pay subscription fees using your mobile phone on the spot.
no need to walk to the banking hall to pay subscription fees like dstv, phch, hitv etc.
with gtmobile app, information on tracking your account statement will be at your finger tips.
how to activate gtmobile
you may like to read what is gtmobile lite
==>you will need at least an s40 java mobile phone that can accept application like .jar or .jad, send sms and also wap enabled to receive gprs internet browsing.
==>you must have an account with gtbank e.g savings or current is ok.
==>if you already have the said items,then head over to their official website to download the gtmobile app to your phone http://www.gtbank.com/smart/index.php#downloads.
then click download gtmobile option.
you will be ask to insert your phone number, vendor e,g blackberry or others:choose others if you are not using bb,then choose lite as the model.
==>click send wap push if you are using wap enabled phone or choose to download the gtmobile lite to your computer which you can then send to the phone.
==>when you have downloaded it,lunch it and choose your network operator e,g MTN, GLO, AIRTEL etc.,in the second box, insert your number,then confirm it again in the third box and click confirm.
NOTE that you must use the simcard you have with them when you opened gtbank account.
now you will see some thing like the image above.in other for you to start using the application to check account statement and make payment,you must add your naira master card (ATM) or any other card.to do this
===>scroll down to wallet=>card management=>add card.
in the first box==>type your ATMCARD NAME e.g naira master card or any other.in this case i used Nairamastercard,
in the second box=insert the 16 digit card number in front of the ATM CARD,
in the third box==> choose either savings or current as default depending on your account type,
in 4th box==> leave it as YES,
in the 5th box ==>choose the expiring month of the ATM(check your card),
in the 6th box==>insert the year it will expire and click on add.
it will send an sms to a particular number which you have to wait for some days for them to activate your card so as to use the gtmobile for payment and checking of bank details.that's all.ENJOY.visit www.gurubest.com to view the latest post update you are not seeing right now.

ReplyDelete@mikkarr, you can not activate the card twice since you have already done that.when you format your phone that means the one you have will be removed.so therefore you have to install new one and add the card again.it will tell you that you have already activated it,just go ahead and use it.the message is just to remind you that you have already done it.try to check your balance, you will see the card there.
ReplyDelete@mykkarr,i updated mine with their latest update last week which has etisalat recharge option.i added the card again and they told me same thing.when i checked to see if the card was added.it was there.just do it again and this time allow it to use sms.

ReplyDeleteI have downloaded mine in my fone and used it to recharge ma fone once. When I dd tranfer to another acc,no sms response even when I used atm card to withdraw, no more sms alert. Wht s de prob. Like?

ReplyDelete@anonymous, you need to make use of the sim card you used when you open the gtbank account and also the sim must have credit to enable you send the sms.if every thing is correct, it should work for you.

ReplyDeletemake use of the phone number you used when you open the bank account with gtbank else it will not work.when the sms goes through, you will receive a message telling you its successful.

ReplyDeleteI have same PROBLEM. I have been using Gtmobile since 2010, then on nokai E51. I have changed phone to bb twice and have installed and used the app on each occasion without issues. BUT this time I just got a new bb and can't get app to work. It keeps say msg send failed and I can't register a sms number because its asking for sms code and One time password. I guess they have updated the software. What's the way out please. What do I fill on these fields

ReplyDeleteHell there, I have been using gtmobile for many months now without problem. I tried helping a friend get it. After downloading, installing & d card being activated, I tried checkn balance but it keeps giving me a "null" response. Does anybody know what that means?
