Hostgator has been sold to EIG.one of the best hosting giant on the internet "hostgator has been sold to a company called EIG (Endurance International Groups)" for $225 million.EIG is known to be an hosting company that takes the bull by the horn by buying off an already made hosting companies due to their customer base and their goodwill.the big question now is how is the new ownership going to handle the existing customers.
well, some people may see this as good or bad move, which ever is the case, maybe brent oxley, owner of hosgator hosting, must have thought about it and made a decision that will be beneficial to their customers of about 400,000.
for EIG to acquire hosgator, then the negotiation went well and both parties agreed.
hosgator is known to be one of the aggressive hosting service that was established in the year 2002 and sky rocked their customer base within the years.they have over 400000 customers and over 12000 servers running and serving their users.they are known to be the giant that eat up competitors due to their quality service.
although, decision as to when the transfer of ownership will be made has not been fully disclosed yet.
this is quite shocking to every one on the internet cause none would believe that hosgator would be sold.anyway, the news has spread over the internet and customers are panicking to know what will be the end result.
transferring of customers data to EIG DATA CENTRE may cause little down time to their servers and that is one of the fair users are having right now.
