a lot of us must have hearing about UBA africard but do not know what it is all about.well, United bank for Africa (UBA) launched a reloadable visa debit card called UBA AFRICARD which can be used for for shopping and making payment online world wide.the card is been issued by UBA plc to any one without having an account with them.so for those who wish to make payment or shopping online, then this card should be giving a try.today i am going to share with you on what UBA AFRICARD is all about

what is UBA AFRICARD

according to them, The UBA Visa Prepaid card (Africard) is a debit card variant denominated in Naira and is pre-funded and re-loadable. It is internationally accepted in all Visa acceptance points (ATM, PoS & Web). Card holders do not need to have an account with UBA.

its a debit visa card that enables one to shop and make payment online.the card can be easily funded ( re-loadable ) with NAIRA at any UBA branches and when used online for payment transaction, the equivalent dollar amount will be deducted base on the current exchange rate.it is also available to any one even if you do not have a bank account with UBA.

you can get it by going to any of their branch with a valid id card (national id card, drivers license, international passport ).

they have two option to personalize the card to either

==> personalized (which will have your name on it)
==> non personalized (will not have your name on it)

as at the time of writing this post, the personalized one cost #750 while the non personalized one cost #500.

note that each time you fund the card, they will charge you #100 and when used online for every transactions, they will charge you %2.7 percent of the amount transacted.

so the choice is yours.that's all.
