mobile number portability has come to stay in nigeria and all nigeria mobile network operator are embracing it.so many of us must have seen the advert on mobile number portability and don't realy know what its all about.well, i am going to explain it in the best way i understand it so that every one can too.so
what mobile number portability in nigeria.
mobile number portability simply means switching from one network provider to another network but still keeping your phone number.that is, you can switch (port) from either
MTN TO GLO network and still retain your main mtn number regardless of where you are.the benefit of switching (porting) from one network to the other is to maintain network connection.if for instance, in your area, mtn network is not that strong and effective, you can save yourself the stress of getting another sim and registration by just porting to the network that has strong signal in your area and continue do mtn number.same that to what wish with you
for now if you want to switch or port from one network to the other in Nigeria, you will have to go to the nearest network provider office or agent and tell them you wish to port to their network and they will give you a form to fill and tell you what to do next after filling the form.that's all.in my next post, i will share with you on how to port from one network to another in nigria.ENJOY.
