Guess you must have installed custom recovery such as
clockwork mod (CWM) or teamwin recovery project (TWRP) on your android phone be it
Samsung galaxy,
htc,
Sony experia,
LG,
tecno android etc and would love to replace it and vise versa. the simple truth is that you can replace already installed clockwork mod recovery with TWRP teamwin recovery project and vise versa if you wish.doing this will not brick or damage your android phone as long as the replacement is compatible with your phone or devices.in this post, i will share with you on
how to replace already installed clockwork mod (CWM) with TWRP and vise versa
all you need to do is to download the compatible custom recovery for your android phone and use either your computer with software like ADB and FASTBOOT, sp flash tool or android phone apps like ROM manager for (CWM), moo manager for (twrp) or mobile uncle for MTK phone only both (CWM) and (TWRP).
which ever you use depending on the kind of phone, it should replace it successfully, so lets get it done

==> download the recovery you want to use as replacement.
==> if you are using software like
adb and fastboot, then reboot your phone into fastboot mode using either volume down button and power ON for most htc phone, use this command to flash it to your android phone
fastboot flash recovery recovery.img
note that your phone should have bootloader unlocked with S-OFF
also you can download goomanager from play store and use it to install twrp.to do this, open goomanager and click on menu, you will see install open script, click it and YES to install it.you should be connected to the internet.
==> it should get the job done but if you are using mtk phones like tecno android etc, then use either
sp flash tool to get the job done or you can download mobile uncle from play store and then use it to flash the recovery.
==> to do this with mobile uncle, transfer the recovery file to your phone SD card ( root ) of the sd card and not into any folder.open mobile uncle and then scroll down to
UPDATE recovery, then locate the recovery from your phone sd card.it will flash it, you can then reboot to recovery to see if it is successful.
as for flashing the recovery with sp flash tool, you will need the phone scatter loader file because it is required by sp flash tool to complete the flashing, so without this file, sp flash tool can not work.
==> if you already have the phone scatter files, then download recovery that is compatible with the mtk phone ( very important ).
open sp flash tool and scroll to the right hand side and click on scatter loader button, it will open a window to search for the file in your computer, locate it and load
==> scroll down to the bottom of sp flash tool, you will see list of files partitions to flash, if any is already ticked please untick all.we only need to tick RECOVERY, tick it and double click it, it will open a window to search for the recovery file, locate it and load
after loading, scroll to the top on sp flash tool and click on
DOWNLOAD button,before doing this, switch off your phone and remove the battery, then connect it to the computer via USB and click on the download button, then insert the battery to begin flashing.that's all, ENJOY.
