installing clockwork mod recovery (CWM) on your tecno android phone such as ( TECNO M3,M7,D5,D9,R7 etc) will allow you to do many things like making nandroid backup,upgrading/installing new latest rom,flash mods,files,hacks etc which would not have been possible.like i usually say to most of those making use of android phone and rooting it,rooting of android phone is not complete until you flash custom recovery such as cwm,twrp etc installed on the phone.most tecno android phone such as tecno p,tecno d9, Tecno M3, Tecno M7, tecno R7 etc do not have a custom recovery built by developers due to the numbers of those using it.most developers do not work on MTK or MT hardware which most china android phone makes use of.they make use of known android phone and devices from top manufacturers such as SAMSUNG,HTC,SONY,GOOGLE etc,so due to this, they only provide and develop software's,mods, hacks for those types of product.what about those who makes use of MTk mediatek product,you may say you are lost but no,there is still goodies for you which you can benefit from too.today if you are finding it difficult installing or flashing clockwork mod (CWM) on techno phone or any china android phone making use of MTK mediatek hardware,like gionee, infinix etc then this post will guide you on how i install clockwork mod (CWM) on Tecno Android Phone or Any MTK mediatek android phone and devices

i usually make use of two method when installing CWM on tecno android phone or device which includes making use of computer or using mobile uncle.i will make a post on the two method but this particular post will feature making use of only the computer method which i believe is very effective.but if you are not tech savvy, please do not try it else any mistake may render your phone useless because it has to do with tempering with the phone stock recovery.

this means that the process have to replace the stock recovery that came with the phone with that of clockwork mod (CMW),so its a little bit technical.

if you do it the wrong way, it may end up damaging your phone stock recover and render the phone useless and might not come up again.with this, i shall sound a warning /disclaimer, if any thing goes wrong as a result of following this post instructions, i shall not be held responsible for any damages.this post is made for educational purpose.

how to Flash clockwork mod (CWM) on tecno android phone using MTKdroidTools from with your computer

==> download MTKDroidtools from this link MTKDROIDTOOLS DOWNLOAD .it does not requires installation.

also download ADB drivers and install it ADB DRIVERS DOWNLOAD

==> after downloading it, extract and launch the software

==> connect your tecno android phone,the tsoftware will detect it

==> from the software, click on ROOT BUTTON at the right down corner.it will automatically request you to grand superSU admin right, do that from your phone,the tool will install Busy box and shell.note that your phone must be rooted before connecting it

==> after installing the apps and superSU granted admin right, a small box on the software at the down left corner will turn green,telling you that the phone has been properly connected.note that at first connection, the box on the software will turn yellow.you can see this notification at the left down side from the mtkdroidtools.

==> still on MTKdroidtools, click on the button "root,backup,recovery, you will see another interface,now click on backup to create a backup of all your phone system

==> this may take some time,so you have to be patient.this step is required in other for us to have a back up of the phone because we need a file called boot.img and recovery.img from the backup and also its recommended to keep the whole backup safe for further use should the phone develops problem.

==> after creating the backup, it will ask you if you want it in zip archive also, you can either click yes or No.you can zip it yourself,so no point clicking yes except you want to wait again

==> now that the back up is complete, we are ready to install the clockwork mod to the phone

==> now scroll to recovery and boot, you will see different radio button to choose from, just choose the phone that says choose the boot.img file

make sure the phone is still connected when doing this.

==> after ticking the radio button, click on the recovery and boot button, it will open the folder where the backup was made and then select the boot.img file from the backup, it will ask you if you want to create and install patch,click yes

==> after clicking yes, it will ask if you want to create a custom recovery, click yes.it will create cwm recovery for you and then ask if you want to install it automatically to the phone, click yes, it will install it and asked you to reboot,click OK to reboot to reboot the phone.

it will reboot into recovery mode.you now have a custom CWM recovery on your tecno android phone.

with this, you can install any latest android rom,make regular nandroid backup.flash mods, hacks without problems.

guess the process is a little bit technical.well, my advice would be if you are scared to do it, please do not temper with it because any mistake might damaged the boot system on the phone and the phone might not come up again.

this is one of the method i normally make use of to install cwm on most mtk mediatek android phone and devices,so you can try it.it has worked with tecno M3, tecno M7, tecno D5, tecno D9, tecno R7.i have successfully installed it in the aforementioned tecno android phones.

if you don't have a computer or can't do it yourself, then you might want to try the other method which has to do with using mobile uncle,so watch out for the next post on that.
